2025 Financial Services Client Summit
On November 13, Lazard’s Financial Institutions and Financial Sponsors Groups gathered heads of corporate development from leading financial services companies and senior private equity investors from top alternative asset management firms for Lazard’s first Financial Services Client Summit in New York.
The day’s programming focused on a series of targeted one-on-one strategic breakout meetings designed to foster dialogue on areas of potential commercial overlap and partnership strategies between these important groups of clients. Attendees represented several important cross-sections of the industry — from global corporates, operating across asset management, financial data & technology, insurance, payments, retirement, and additional sectors, to a diverse range of alternative asset management firms, who are active investors across the financial services landscape.
The agenda culminated in a fireside chat with Lazard CEO and Chairman, Peter Orszag, and Patrick McHenry, Lazard Senior Advisor and former Chair of the U.S. House Financial Services Committee. Their discussion explored critical themes shaping the sector, including regulatory frameworks for cryptocurrency and stablecoins, the impact of AI on the financial services industry, M&A trends in the current antitrust environment, and key business operational considerations in the current administration.
